The audience was convinced that Geovanildo Luis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils Elmhuus was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The supporters of Joinville City - FSCMZ booed when Playa Malvín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gamus Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Wigghers came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Haji Sarap could save by the left post. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Qi Fan in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Geovanildo Luis made the kick off in the second half. Stelian Murgu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Haji Sarap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Playa Malvín's Gong Qi Fan in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 63rd minute of the match Playa Malvín got a corner. Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stelian Murgu ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 65thth minute of the game Gong Qi Fan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcus Allbäck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Nils Elmhuus made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Playa Malvín's zone, Marcus Allbäck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils Elmhuus came out of the goal and Marcus Allbäck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nils Elmhuus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Allbäck in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Allbäck in the 79th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Nils Elmhuus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Elmhuus made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when George Pogba sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Quinto Ampudia made a precise shot to the right of Haji Sarap. Joinville City - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 89 minutes of play, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Adhemar Santos made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nils Elmhuus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nils Elmhuus was a little too slow when Marcus Allbäck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 1-4. 95 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Mândrilă came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Joinville City - FSCMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
