Chiquinho Peres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Santos in the 7th minute of play forced Uraricuera EC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Santos in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Santos in the 16th minute of play forced Uraricuera EC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho Peres came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville City - FSCMZ's Karsten Ulbak. But to his dismay, Karsten Ulbak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Uraricuera EC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanildo Luis came free, but Chiquinho Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haji Sarap made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Glauco Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap got control of the ball when Glauco Aparecido tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Uraricuera EC's goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Ulbak came free, but Chiquinho Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Joinville City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Mititel to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Sergipano hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Reis in the 30th minute of play forced Uraricuera EC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Allbäck in the 31st minute of the match. Marcus Allbäck took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chiquinho Peres. Chiquinho Peres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Chiquinho Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes Uraricuera EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomé Neto who took care of the corner kick. Chiquinho Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Allbäck in the 42nd minute of the match. Chiquinho Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karsten Ulbak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville City - FSCMZ's zone, Glauco Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haji Sarap came out of the goal and Glauco Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Joinville City - FSCMZ were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Uraricuera EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Joinville City - FSCMZ:s goal. Tomé Neto placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Uraricuera EC's Chiquinho Peres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Uraricuera EC from getting a goal against them. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Munhoz in the 65th minute of play. Marcus Allbäck took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chiquinho Peres. Chiquinho Peres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Joinville City - FSCMZ made a substitution. Bernardino Llorenc replaced Adhemar Santos. In the last second Chiquinho Peres throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bernardino Llorenc in the 76thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 77th minute Joinville City - FSCMZ were awarded a corner. Tomé Neto went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Marcus Allbäck heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Uraricuera EC's Chiquinho Peres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Uraricuera EC from getting a goal against them. Chiquinho Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 82nd minute of the match. Uraricuera EC's Chiquinho Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Llorenc in the 84th minute of play. Chiquinho Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardino Llorenc went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Chiquinho Peres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 93rd minute. In the 97th minute, Geovanildo Luis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chiquinho Peres was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Joinville City - FSCMZ played a much better game than Uraricuera EC and deserved their victory. The Uraricuera EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
