The long shot by Aírton Sousa in the 4th minute really tested Danilo Urbasa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Danilo Urbasa was a little too slow when João Pirani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 9th minute João Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. João Pirani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Danilo Urbasa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Gilmar Monteiro got a free kick in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, João Pirani took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Danilo Urbasa to make any attempt to save it. In the 29th minute of the match, João Pirani tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Danilo Urbasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cesar Ostots hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Aírton Sousa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Urbasa skillfully saved the ball. Ian Rush blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelsinho Leite having to make a save. 31 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Rush came free, but Nelsinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toro Cavenaghi kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Acheral's zone, João Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Urbasa came out of the goal and João Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Urbasa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Aurken Maroño's late challenge caught a Vascogoianiense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurken Maroño helped the player get up and apologised. Danilo Urbasa came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Vascogoianiense FC's Aírton Sousa. But to his dismay, Aírton Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Pirani to make the kick off. Danilo Urbasa came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani. But to his dismay, João Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Vascogoianiense FC's Carlos Eduardo Sergipano was substituted for Bebeto Leal. Vascogoianiense FC's Válbson Pontes was substituted for Falcão de Godoi. 65 minutes into the game, Cesar Ostots was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acheral's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vascogoianiense FC the free kick. A collision led to Acheral getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. In the 68th minute of the match Aírton Sousa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Urbasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Danilo Urbasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Pirani went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Acheral's Danilo Urbasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pirani in the 76th minute of play. Vascogoianiense FC were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Acheral's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aírton Sousa took the corner. In the 78th minute, João Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Urbasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 84th minute João Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 minutes of play, Vascogoianiense FC's Gilmar Monteiro made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Urbasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Leopoldo Jacinto Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Yosif Derventski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acheral's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vascogoianiense FC the free kick. After 92 played minutes Acheral got a freekick which was hit by Yosif Derventski. Vascogoianiense FC's João Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
