Edwin van der Sar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A throw-in in the 19th minute of the game was made by Gary Neville with Davide Beckham as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd rose to their feet as Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Geovani Mangueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edwin van der Sar. That made the score 2-1 after 21 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eero Uusipaavalniemi in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raúl Cabral saved Merusca F&P - CIMZ from getting behind. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Raúl Cabral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Geovani Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davide Beckham took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl Cabral. Raúl Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Raúl Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eero Uusipaavalniemi in the 36th minute of play. Davide Beckham took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl Cabral. Raúl Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. With a little luck, Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar got control of the ball when Florian Capasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edwin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florian Capasso in the 47th minute.

Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Capasso in the 53rd minute of the match. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Raúl Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Merusca F&P - CIMZ from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Raúl Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdemar Kuoppala. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Anderson Vidal was substituted for Fabian Meleșcanu. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Rafael Couto replaced Florian Capasso. The Manchester United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edwin van der Sar should have stopped the shot. Raúl Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eero Uusipaavalniemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Cantona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Manchester United FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
