The audience was convinced that Patrick Hanselmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edwin van der Sar was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 5th minute, Fc Pawonków's Patrick Hanselmann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 10th match minute, Manchester United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erkki Virta to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Hanselmann got free with Edwin van der Sar in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Manchester United FC defense, Tytus Kuszczak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edwin van der Sar. The Manchester United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edwin van der Sar should have stopped the shot. Tanek Fetor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taisto Pentsinen in the 19th minute of play. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tytus Kuszczak in the 20th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Hanselmann. Edwin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Hanselmann in the 26th minute. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tytus Kuszczak in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taisto Pentsinen in the 29th minute of play forced Fc Pawonków's goalkeeper Tanek Fetor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Hanselmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Edwin van der Sar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tanek Fetor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taisto Pentsinen in the 34th minute of play. The throw-in from Erkki Virta in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fc Pawonków's Marcelino Precioso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Beckham in the 38th minute of play forced Fc Pawonków's goalkeeper Tanek Fetor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tytus Kuszczak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin van der Sar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Erkki Virta threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fc Pawonków's Marcelino Precioso quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Fc Pawonków's Radoslaw Olejasz was substituted for Patrick Hanselmann. The wind increased when Eero Uusipaavalniemi made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Davide Beckham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fc Pawonków's Tytus Kuszczak in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester United FC's goalie prevented a goal. Edwin van der Sar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tytus Kuszczak's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Tytus Kuszczak scored 4-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoslaw Olejasz in the 65th minute of play. Edwin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tytus Kuszczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tytus Kuszczak in the 77th minute of the match. Manchester United FC's Erik Cantona was substituted for Taisto Pentsinen. Manchester United FC's Jakob Stam was substituted for Iiro Riksman. In the 80th minute of the match Fc Pawonków got a corner. Manchester United FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tytus Kuszczak ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Fc Pawonków's Tytus Kuszczak to fire away a dangerous shot which Edwin van der Sar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fc Pawonków's Marcelino Precioso got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Tanek Fetor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Manchester United FC's Eero Uusipaavalniemi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tanek Fetor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Manchester United FC were furious when Gary Neville was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Manchester United FC! Tytus Kuszczak scored 5-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Radoslaw Olejasz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Fc Pawonków fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radoslaw Olejasz couldn't finish the play. Tanek Fetor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdemar Kuoppala in the 96th minute. Fc Pawonków's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
