Bengt-Arne Askstedt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Gallardo went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute of the game Ezequiel Cerilo made a throw-in which Ismael Abalos played forward. Savage Hippo's Kim Lekberg got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kim Lekberg to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Marcelo Gallardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adrogue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Gallardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt-Arne Askstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Cerilo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Savage Hippo's Aleksander Walec quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bengt-Arne Askstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Gallardo in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Kim Lekberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Lekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Bengt-Arne Askstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Gallardo in the 76th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Eddie Bjurström with Vilmantas Magdišauskas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Laureano Vergaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bengt-Arne Askstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Vergaray in the 82nd minute of play. Kim Lekberg took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franco Armani. Franco Armani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Savage Hippo's Bengt-Arne Askstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Vergaray in the 90th minute of play. When Laureano Vergaray came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Adrogue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laureano Vergaray couldn't finish the play. Bengt-Arne Askstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Vergaray in the 96th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
