The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kartal Başar ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Cobresal's Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea got control of the ball when Kartal Başar tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Quintero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kartal Başar, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute Kartal Başar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Adalberto Monasterio fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cobresal's protests and gave Adalberto Monasterio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Adalberto Monasterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cobresal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
