Los Delfines's Matías Patrone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Los Delfines from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan got a free kick in the 13th minute. Valentin Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Olov Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Orzaize, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Arquímedes Cesario came free, but Olov Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georg Norström hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Quinten in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Lu Bin Yuan came free, but Olov Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matías Patrone was a little too slow when Kurt Hamrin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-0. Matías Patrone made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Chen Ao Fan sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chen Ao Fan during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chen Ao Fan hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Olov Wahlnäs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lu Bin Yuan in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lu Bin Yuan in the 43rd minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Olov Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Lu Bin Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Wahlnäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilano Quinten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Arquímedes Cesario came free, but Olov Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oran Gutti replaced Hilario Asteri. Los Delfines's Oliver Bierhoff was substituted for Atilano Quinten. The crowd rose to their feet as Raimundo Goyo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Olov Wahlnäs. That made the score 1-2 in the 65 minute of play. Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams was substituted for Chen Ao Fan. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Delfines's Oscar Orzaize slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olov Wahlnäs. That made the score 1-3 after 72 minutes of play. In the 76th minute of the game, Lu Bin Yuan landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Skövde AIK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Oliver Bierhoff scored to the left of an out of position Olov Wahlnäs, making the score, 1-4. Raimundo Goyo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Olov Wahlnäs made a huge save. When Kurt Hamrin came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Skövde AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Hamrin couldn't finish the play. Olov Wahlnäs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 93rd minute of the match. Oliver Bierhoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Wahlnäs having to interfere. After 97 minutes, Oscar Orzaize mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Delfines and the Skövde AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Los Delfines getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Oscar Orzaize hit a great ball. The Skövde AIK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Los Delfines's performance. The match ended with a win for Los Delfines.
