In the 15th minute of the match Brufoss IL got a corner. Finninge Fotboll's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Brufoss IL's corner Kai Østbye fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fredric Ahlén quite easily take care of the ball. Borys Witek made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Germán Kanø sent off a good shot on target. Finninge Fotboll's Fredric Ahlén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Remme in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Germán Kanø stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes of play, Finninge Fotboll's Germán Kanø made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Borys Witek was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 63 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Kenneth Heistad. 64 minutes into the game, Germán Kanø cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Borys Witek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Boris Nordgren fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Finninge Fotboll's protests and gave Boris Nordgren a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Finninge Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Boris Nordgren. Brufoss IL's Are Høiby was substituted for Jan-Kenneth Heistad. Brufoss IL's Kevin Strømsnes was substituted for Christer Hustad. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Frode Tobiassen replaced Kai Østbye. In the 68th match minute, Finninge Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Nordgren to maneuver through the defense. Richard Liljeström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Borys Witek having to make a save. After 92 played minutes Finninge Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Jose Jesco. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Finninge Fotboll had won after a very even match.
