PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Rancaño in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Örjan Björkdahl got free with Franc Merlot in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Rancaño in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Osomo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kléberson Guedes made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Clarence Seedorf however managed to control. Gilberto Rancaño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Osomo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match TiGrEs Fx got a corner. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Örjan Björkdahl was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in TiGrEs Fx's zone, Sandro Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franc Merlot came out of the goal and Sandro Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerardo Trimiño made in the 60th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Edgard Estevez. TiGrEs Fx's Gilberto Rancaño got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franc Merlot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Björkdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franc Merlot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bennvar Caddick in the 69th minute of the match. Joaquim Matute didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, TiGrEs Fx failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
