Isaac Jonasson made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Deilmison van Basten sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Denílson Magalhães got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Isaac Jonasson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Sten Hydén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Jonasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ove Salkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodriguinho Sousa having to make a save. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Salkvist in the 16th minute of play. Ove Salkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Solarek in the 27th minute of the match. Isaac Jonasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 29th minute of play. Deilmison van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 35 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Gaétan Govou. In the 39th minute Ove Salkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sten Hydén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Sousa having to interfere. Isaac Jonasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, BK Gubbhöft's Sten Hydén got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ove Salkvist was the one to do the kick off. Ove Salkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodriguinho Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Quintin Gomar was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Veronica in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Blue came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Ahlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the ATHLETICO PRaiano defense, Jonas Ahlin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodriguinho Sousa should have stopped the shot. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Heitor Maldini was substituted for Betão Marquez. Isaac Jonasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Deilmison van Basten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaac Jonasson. BK Gubbhöft's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deilmison van Basten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Veronica in the 88th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Veronica came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BK Gubbhöft's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
