In the 5th minute Ralf Albäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cordarell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santiago Cordarell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Albäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ralf Albäck sped through Bresikas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Santiago Cordarell. After 21 minutes, Ralf Albäck made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bresikas's Santiago Cordarell tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rodriguinho Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Enekoitz went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Ralf Albäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Cordarell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Santiago Cordarell managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when ATHLETICO PRaiano's Ralf Albäck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Bresikas's zone, Ralf Albäck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Cordarell came out of the goal and Ralf Albäck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Ralf Albäck made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Cordarell. Bresikas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Karl-Åke Stolpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leovigildo Abumohor to strike the kick off in the second half. Santiago Cordarell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ralf Albäck's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Santiago Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Albäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leovigildo Abumohor in the 57th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ralf Albäck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Cordarell was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães was substituted for Ralf Albäck. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Bresikas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Eudoxio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deilmison van Basten in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Cordarell saved Bresikas from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, Bresikas's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Santiago Cordarell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Cordarell was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deilmison van Basten in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Cordarell saved Bresikas from getting behind. Deilmison van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Cordarell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deilmison van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute Deilmison van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cordarell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deilmison van Basten took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santiago Cordarell. Santiago Cordarell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. In the 89th match minute, Bresikas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Eudoxio to maneuver through the defense. ATHLETICO PRaiano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Unax Mudarra in the 92nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Gaétan Govou got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santiago Cordarell quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 95 minutes, Nestor Enekoitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bresikas and the ATHLETICO PRaiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, one of Bresikas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bresikas. Deilmison van Basten walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. ATHLETICO PRaiano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
