After a defensive mix-up in FC La Masia's zone, Elmar Lexbo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesinha do Vale came out of the goal and Elmar Lexbo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bent Streyder in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesinha do Vale saved FC La Masia from getting behind. Cesinha do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bent Streyder in the 27th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Bent Streyder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesinha do Vale. FC La Masia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bent Streyder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, FC La Masia's goal looked a bit too open when Konrad Reumert came free, but Cesinha do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elmar Lexbo scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesinha do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bent Streyder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Holmkjar Hotspurs were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after FC La Masia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elmar Lexbo took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Ove Makenhauer managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bent Streyder made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Paulo Eickworth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmkjar Hotspurs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC La Masia the free kick. Paulo Eickworth hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 85th match minute, Holmkjar Hotspurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Katsir to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, FC La Masia's goalkeeper Cesinha do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magnus Steinwart. After a rather tough play, FC La Masia's Evaristo da Silva got a free kick in the 95th minute. Holmkjar Hotspurs's Elmar Lexbo got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Holmkjar Hotspurs supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Holmkjar Hotspurs would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
