Juan Lebron started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Måns Sandberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Måns Sandberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurelio Walme having to make a save. Aurelio Walme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Sandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Owsiak got free with Safet Hands in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Vergílio came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute of the match, Breno Vergílio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Safet Hands saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 13th minute Måns Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Walme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Måns Sandberg took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelio Walme. Aurelio Walme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Lei Feng Yan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Safet Hands. That made the score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Medeiros came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Safet Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Vergílio in the 19th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Geovani Medeiros made the kick off in the second half. Norrlands Athen's Safet Hands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Vergílio in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57th minute Geovani Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Safet Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Medeiros came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Calle Bergfelt replaced Wieslaw Wos. Norrlands Athen's Gilbert Hermansson was substituted for Måns Sandberg. Safet Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Feng Yan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caxias do Sul got a corner. Norrlands Athen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lei Feng Yan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aurelio Walme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calle Bergfelt in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Daniel Owsiak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Safet Hands was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Norrlands Athen for a fine match.
