The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dietbald Ströbele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Claus in the 4th minute of play. Dietbald Ströbele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Claus in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Lanzenkirchen were awarded a corner. Nicolai Nowak went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anísio Furlan during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes Verissimo KFCH F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Furlan. Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Tiago Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dietbald Ströbele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Lanzenkirchen's Roque Claus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dietbald Ströbele made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Karl-Åke Brummer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Fernandez in the 25th minute of play. If Abel Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roque Claus came free, but Dietbald Ströbele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roque Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Claus got free with Dietbald Ströbele in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Lanzenkirchen's zone, Tiago Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Åke Brummer came out of the goal and Tiago Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Fernandez to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Cristian Mello got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Jean Fernandez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Åke Brummer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match Verissimo KFCH F.C. got a corner. Lanzenkirchen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiago Corrêa ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Tiago Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dietbald Ströbele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dietbald Ströbele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Claus in the 67th minute of play forced Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s goalkeeper Dietbald Ströbele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 68th minute of the match Anísio Furlan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anísio Furlan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Verissimo KFCH F.C. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Anísio Furlan hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Claus in the 73rd minute of play forced Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s goalkeeper Dietbald Ströbele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dietbald Ströbele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Abel Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dietbald Ströbele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dietbald Ströbele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Lanzenkirchen's Lucjan Bejger was substituted for Abel Alves. Lanzenkirchen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicolai Nowak in the 90th minute. The corner led Lanzenkirchen's Nicolai Nowak to fire away a dangerous shot which Dietbald Ströbele despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 93rd minute Lucjan Bejger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dietbald Ströbele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucjan Bejger took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dietbald Ströbele. Dietbald Ströbele dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the referee ended the match the Lanzenkirchen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
