In the 18th minute Liviu Frumușanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Pourre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV got a corner. Rakkestad IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernest Oprescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Rakkestad IF getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kai Sørdal hit a great ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Liviu Frumușanu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Olimpiu Semeghin fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's protests and gave Olimpiu Semeghin a yellow card for diving instead. Rakkestad IF made a substitution. Johan Ødegården replaced Ignacio Dantae. Christophe Pourre made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Victor Lucila sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Fabiano Ornelas made the kick off in the second half. Dinu Oardă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Ornelas in the 58th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Jeronimo Seguinus managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 63rd match minute, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Frumușanu to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the game, Fabiano Ornelas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rakkestad IF's goalkeeper Christophe Pourre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Rakkestad IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ernest Oprescu took the corner. Runar Nergaard tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Christophe Pourre. When MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Victor Lucila in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rakkestad IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Lucila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 94th minute Victor Lucila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Pourre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV had played much better football throughout.
