After a defensive mix-up in Fire Devils's zone, Nemesio Hechter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Fransson came out of the goal and Nemesio Hechter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nemesio Hechter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Fransson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. A collision led to Fire Devils getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Francis Aberle hit a great ball. Capua Whitewolves's Hanung Sephtianda got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Furcas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Hechter in the 53rd minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Walter Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Hechter came free, but Walter Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
