In the 3rd minute Fabiano Ornelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Pappalardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rakkestad IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ignacio Dantae in the 5th minute. The corner ended in Mark Billberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but chacarita juniors's Adriano Pappalardo did a great save. 6 minutes into the match, Rakkestad IF's goal looked a bit too open when Arkhip Ilyin came free, but Christophe Pourre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Arkhip Ilyin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christophe Pourre was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 11thth minute of the game Arkhip Ilyin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rakkestad IF's Christophe Pourre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arkhip Ilyin in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christophe Pourre saved Rakkestad IF from getting behind. Rakkestad IF's Anders Salkvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lorenzo Tipi in the 19 minute of the game. After 19 played minutes chacarita juniors got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Tipi. After 21 minutes of play, Rakkestad IF's Fabiano Ornelas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriano Pappalardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Rakkestad IF getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Mark Billberg hit a great ball. When chacarita juniors's Arkhip Ilyin in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rakkestad IF's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute chacarita juniors were awarded a corner. Arkhip Ilyin went to the cornerflag to take it. The Rakkestad IF fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Rakkestad IF's Fabiano Ornelas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Kacper Trochowski fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored chacarita juniors's protests and gave Kacper Trochowski a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes chacarita juniors got a freekick which was hit by Kacper Trochowski. After a rather tough play, chacarita juniors's Kacper Trochowski got a free kick in the 41st minute. chacarita juniors's Kacper Trochowski got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The throw-in from Lorenzo Tipi in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rakkestad IF's Anders Salkvist. After the first half Rakkestad IF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arkhip Ilyin made a kick off. Fabiano Ornelas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Pappalardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The throw-in from Lorenzo Tipi in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rakkestad IF's Anders Salkvist. 62 minutes into the match, Fabiano Ornelas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriano Pappalardo. chacarita juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabiano Ornelas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Ornelas in the 66th minute of play forced chacarita juniors's goalkeeper Adriano Pappalardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabiano Ornelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rakkestad IF made a substitution. Robert Pirès replaced Ion Nediu. Adriano Pappalardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Dobrowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Joachim Hylland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Adriano Pappalardo made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Vinicio Fiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Rakkestad IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than chacarita juniors throughout the match.
