But to his dismay, Ricardo Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Guerra in the 9th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Walter Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes, Ricardo Guerra made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's Ricardo Guerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Fransson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Ricardo Guerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walter Fransson. Fire Devils's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Guerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 21st minute, Ricardo Guerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MEXACOMX fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Walter Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Guerra in the 32nd minute of play. Januário Rangel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Furcas's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fire Devils's goalkeeper Walter Fransson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute MEXACOMX were awarded a corner. Joaquin Sedillo went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on MEXACOMX's corner Joaquin Sedillo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Walter Fransson quite easily take care of the ball. Ricardo Guerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Fransson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's Loris Hellmüller broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, MEXACOMX's Ricardo Guerra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walter Fransson. Walter Fransson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Ricardo Guerra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Walter Fransson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ricardo Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Fransson having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Guerra got free with Walter Fransson in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Fire Devils from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Ricardo Guerra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Walter Fransson. The goal made the score 0-8. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Walter Fransson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Fire Devils from getting a goal against them. After 72 minutes Fire Devils's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joaquin Sedillo who took care of the corner kick. MEXACOMX's Joaquin Sedillo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Walter Fransson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ricardo Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Fransson having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Guerra got free with Walter Fransson in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fire Devils's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joaquin Sedillo was slow to take the kick. During this time MEXACOMX's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Joaquin Sedillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Walter Fransson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 84th minute Ricardo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Guerra in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Walter Fransson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fire Devils's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joaquin Sedillo was slow to take the kick. During this time MEXACOMX's players had a chance to rest.
