Virgilio Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Lago in the 25th minute of play. Yan Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Einar Reisalu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Manel Fonelleda took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Yan Peixoto to make any attempt to save it. 45 minutes into the match, JK Kurevere's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Lago came free, but Virgilio Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Lago to make the kick off. If Einar Reisalu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Märten Viilukas hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Lago in the 57th minute of play forced JK Kurevere's goalkeeper Virgilio Mateus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
