Tomas Brandt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor Mainer, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Jacobo Mendiko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelito Vivar went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jean-Luc Picard hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Donato Luar managed to get in a good position for a shot. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Luar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Brandt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alianza Trujillo made a substitution. Fermin Donzel replaced Froilan Pascual. Alianza Trujillo's Pudes Vilas was substituted for Xinaro Magarinos. In the 95th minute Cayetano Montez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Mendiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
