Fryderyk Lepper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Argyris Papapetrou in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's Argyris Papapetrou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fryderyk Lepper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28thth minute of the game Coileán McAlphie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strömsbro IF's Rıza Vuralhan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rıza Vuralhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Coileán McAlphie in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Zawisza Bydgoszcz getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Kaine McLian hit a great ball. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Fryderyk Lepper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Argyris Papapetrou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 54 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Antti Ani. 71 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Rıza Vuralhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aengus Duggan. Fryderyk Lepper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argyris Papapetrou, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Dewain Gallagher made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Coileán McAlphie immediately put the ball in play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Argyris Papapetrou in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fryderyk Lepper saved Zawisza Bydgoszcz from getting behind. The Strömsbro IF fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Strömsbro IF's Argyris Papapetrou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Strömsbro IF getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Mao Jun Yun hit a great ball. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
