Gabriele Batistuta started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Linhares in the 3rd minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Rıza Vuralhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Argyris Papapetrou hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Mao Jun Yun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriele Batistuta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rıza Vuralhan having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Argyris Papapetrou took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Camilo Salvidor to make any attempt to save it. Hamid Dame made in the 34th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fred Allbom however managed to control. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Argyris Papapetrou made a kick off. Rıza Vuralhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Argyris Papapetrou came free, but Camilo Salvidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menchu FC's Gaston Firmo was substituted for Peter Söderqwist. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Karl-Michael Kristiansson got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 77 minutes Strömsbro IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abdoulay Doucouré who took care of the corner kick. Gabriele Batistuta made a great header on Menchu FC's corner, it was just that Strömsbro IF's Rıza Vuralhan managed to reach the ball for a save. Argyris Papapetrou struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Camilo Salvidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strömsbro IF. In the 81st minute Gaston Firmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıza Vuralhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Gabriele Batistuta took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Rıza Vuralhan to make any attempt to save it. Gabriele Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rıza Vuralhan having to interfere. The Strömsbro IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Menchu FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Menchu FC.
