An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Bern in the 25th minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tor Bern in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. José Macías received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Acácio Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseu Mendes during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Azul Y Plomo booed when Club Athletico Paulistano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Azul Y Plomo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor Bern was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tor Bern blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Acácio Lara having to make a save. In the 75th minute, Azul Y Plomo's Chiriboga Torres seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Chiriboga Torres the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Azul Y Plomo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Chiriboga Torres had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Azul Y Plomo! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Macías during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Azul Y Plomo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Azul Y Plomo's Zacarias Cabrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Trancoso in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Paulistano's goal looked a bit too open when Hector-Luis Arzola came free, but Acácio Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, José Macías hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glauco da Rocha made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Azul Y Plomo's Nicolas Diniz. For all the effort they put into the match, the Azul Y Plomo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Athletico Paulistano.
