François-Xavier Dionnet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theagenis Theodorakoglou in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Tsabis came free, but François-Xavier Dionnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ruquense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that François-Xavier Dionnet should have stopped the shot. In the 41st match minute, Kolopetinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theagenis Theodorakoglou to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the game, one of Kolopetinitsa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Nial Peyton made the kick off in the second half. François-Xavier Dionnet made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Panos Tsabis sent off a good shot on target. Nial Peytons short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got François-Xavier Dionnet to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ruquense FC's Maciej Ciemiega got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ruquense FC's zone, Nial Peyton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. François-Xavier Dionnet came out of the goal and Nial Peyton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basilio Fernandez took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Güralp Uğurtan. Güralp Uğurtan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 84 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panos Tsabis. Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nial Peyton in the 89th minute of play. Panagiotis Kaliasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without François-Xavier Dionnet having to interfere. Kolopetinitsa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
