François-Xavier Dionnet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolás Valentini, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Remigio Quirze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ruquense FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maciej Ciemiega in the 19th minute. The corner ended in Maciej Ciemiega almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but La Candela FC's Ruben Sánchez did a great save. Nicolás Valentini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Nicolás Valentini notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet. François-Xavier Dionnet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicolás Valentini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but François-Xavier Dionnet made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Fernandez in the 27th minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Nicolau hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Nicolás Valentini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but François-Xavier Dionnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match La Candela FC got a corner. Ruquense FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastián Battaglia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ruben Sánchez made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Maciej Ciemiega sent off a good shot on target. Maciej Ciemiega received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruben Sánchez came out and tried to block the shot, but Maciej Ciemiega slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolás Valentini in the 74th minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruben Sánchez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remigio Quirze went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 92ndth minute of the game Gabi Batistuta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Nicolás Valentini managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Candela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolás Valentini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. François-Xavier Dionnet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruquense FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing La Candela FC to leave the ground with a draw.
