Hudson Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milosz Hejza, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Beila Mora took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ademir Baptista. In the 36th match minute, Matungo Gaúcho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Lalla to maneuver through the defense. Austra 04 VFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Douglas Tande in the 42nd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beila Mora to make the kick off. Austra 04 VFC's Hudson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Borges in the 53rd minute of play. Hudson Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matungo Gaúcho. 71 minutes into the match, Austra 04 VFC's goal looked a bit too open when Milosz Hejza came free, but Hudson Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
