Oséas Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 minutes of play, New England Minas's António Nóbrega made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oséas Albuquerque was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgardo Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oséas Albuquerque read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. New England Minas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Cleto Matxin scored to the left of an out of position Jeremy Nicholas, making the score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Cássio de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jukatriz's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremy Nicholas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 minutes, Edgardo Silva made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Jukatriz's Oséas Albuquerque tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. New England Minas's Edgardo Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. New England Minas's Tio Lio managed to work through Jukatriz's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tio Lio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 44th minute Cleto Matxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half New England Minas were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Arif Ozan Sureha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jeremy Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Jukatriz's Oséas Albuquerque got control of the ball when Edgardo Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Ozan Sureha, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute Natanael Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Oséas Albuquerque managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when New England Minas's Edgardo Silva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 92 in the game by Edgardo Silva from a close distance when the talented Oséas Albuquerque managed to make a qualified save.
