He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montevideo reached it. Nemesio Cerilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Matorin in the 6th minute of the match. Nemesio Cerilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Matorin in the 11th minute of play forced pciclon's goalkeeper Nemesio Cerilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes of play, Montevideo's Olavo Matorin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nemesio Cerilo was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Matorin in the 16th minute of play forced pciclon's goalkeeper Nemesio Cerilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kazimierz Gajewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes Montevideo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santo Normando who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Teodoro Lordi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ronaldo Medeiros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 26th play minute Teodoro Lordi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronaldo Medeiros. 1-2. Nemesio Cerilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Lucas in the 28th minute of play. Ronaldo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Gorka in the 33rd minute of the match. Nemesio Cerilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Nemesio Cerilo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olavo Matorin's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Olavo Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Nemesio Medina hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 91st match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Recife to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pastor Fidele in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldo Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in pciclon's zone, Laerte Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nemesio Cerilo came out of the goal and Laerte Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
