POSSE 1911 FC were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after San Mauro A Mare FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alfredo Di Marco took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Xavi Guardiola managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Angel Xabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Graziani in the 10th minute of play. If Sérgio Aguero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Xabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levent Hicran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samir Afacan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lukas Lundgren in the 17th minute. Levent Hicran scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angel Xabel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Levent Hicran in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Xabel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by POSSE 1911 FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dinu Dobre was slow to take the kick. During this time San Mauro A Mare FC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to San Mauro A Mare FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Marcus Hastings hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Levent Hicran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Mauro A Mare FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Samir Afacan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sérgio Aguero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samir Afacan having to make a save. Levent Hicran might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angel Xabel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Levent Hicran ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd minute Levent Hicran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Sérgio Aguero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samir Afacan having to interfere. Angel Xabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Dobre in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levent Hicran in the 57th minute of play forced POSSE 1911 FC's goalkeeper Angel Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sérgio Aguero in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samir Afacan saved San Mauro A Mare FC from getting behind. Alex Orsi replaced Levent Hicran. San Mauro A Mare FC's Tony Rosa was substituted for Francesco Cremonese. Fan Liang Chong got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcus Hastings. The audience was convinced that Sérgio Aguero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samir Afacan was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Sérgio Aguero sped through San Mauro A Mare FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samir Afacan. In the 93rd minute Lukas Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samir Afacan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. POSSE 1911 FC's Angel Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Orsi in the 95th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
