In the 5th minute of the match Palermo got a corner. FC LongeR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anthony Bonelli ran over to the corner to take the kick. Palermo's Maximino Gonzalez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hieronim Walczyk in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 7 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Enrico Maurizi came free, but Alfredo Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vihar Milev in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vihar Milev in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Joey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vihar Milev took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Joey. Alfredo Joey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Alfredo Joey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vihar Milev, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ceferino Quinteros kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, FC LongeR's Vihar Milev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Joey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute FC LongeR were awarded a corner. Vihar Milev went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd rose to their feet as Santiago Mino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hieronim Walczyk. That made the score 2-2 in the 44 minute of play. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vihar Milev in the 56th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Maximino Gonzalez put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Hieronim Walczyk. Palermo's Arnoldo Medina was substituted for Alfred Olsson. When Vihar Milev came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FC LongeR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vihar Milev couldn't finish the play. The Palermo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC LongeR's performance. The match ended with a win for FC LongeR.
