With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg got control of the ball when Hubert Wallmark tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torgny Landin in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Breno Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Burak Özdoğan scored to the left of an out of position Jens-Åke Källberg, making the score, 1-2. Jens-Åke Källberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience was convinced that Burak Özdoğan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens-Åke Källberg was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Torgny Landin might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Breno Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandinense ADF's Breno Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torgny Landin in the 76th minute of play. Jan Höijer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Breno Costa made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Burak Özdoğan came free, but Jens-Åke Källberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Pain in the 84th minute of play. Murilo Pain spun around in front of the goal 84 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Boca Juniors's goal. Boca Juniors's Jiang Xuan Nan was substituted for Jan Höijer. In the 87th minute Osvaldinho Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Källberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torgny Landin's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Burak Özdoğan came free, but Jens-Åke Källberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chants of Boca Juniors echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sandinense ADF had held the ball for most of the match.
