La Pointe Courte's Gao Yang Yan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Debruyne in the 15th minute of play. Lyubcho Karadachki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roch Felenak in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Parvan Dakelov came free, but Gao Yang Yan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Pointe Courte's Gao Yang Yan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Exequiel Zeballos in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Exequiel Zeballos in the 25th minute of play forced La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Gao Yang Yan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anacleto Emesto's late challenge caught a La Pointe Courte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anacleto Emesto helped the player get up and apologised. Anacleto Emesto hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Pawel Harendarski charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pawel Harendarski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when La Pointe Courte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pawel Harendarski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manchester United F.C. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
