After some careless play in the Emerald defense, Venancio Lop kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 彭树邦. The Emerald fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 彭树邦 should have stopped the shot. Radomir Ratulowski made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Raimundo Marquez. 彭树邦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henric Springfält, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Victor Piţurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Piţurcă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orvar Bäckström having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Victor Piţurcă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orvar Bäckström was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Basavilbaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Piţurcă came free, but Orvar Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerald's Ioan Logofătu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Radomir Ratulowski, made in the 27th minute of the game. Orvar Bäckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th match minute, Basavilbaso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomir Ratulowski to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Basavilbaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Piţurcă came free, but Orvar Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Orvar Bäckström throw himself and got hold of the ball when Victor Piţurcă in the 37thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Radomir Ratulowski got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Venancio Lop. In the 56th minute Ruben Gentza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 彭树邦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Victor Piţurcă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Emerald fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Orvar Bäckström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Piţurcă's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Emerald's 彭树邦 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Gentza in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Radomir Ratulowski threw the ball into play from the sideline. Emerald's Ioan Logofătu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 67th minute, Ferdinand Condrea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orvar Bäckström was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Orvar Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 76th minute of play forced Basavilbaso FC's goalkeeper Orvar Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Victor Piţurcă notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Basavilbaso FC's Orvar Bäckström. Orvar Bäckström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute, Jaime Carioca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orvar Bäckström was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. 85 minutes in the game Radomir Ratulowski did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Clemente Rubio. Radomir Ratulowski made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Raimundo Marquez immediately put the ball in play. Orvar Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 87th minute of play. Victor Piţurcă took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orvar Bäckström. Orvar Bäckström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Basavilbaso FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Emerald.
