Olle Tunander made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Aleksander Gustafsson sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksander Gustafsson got free with Olle Tunander in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Aleksander Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Goyo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Algot Myr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Albom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

In the 50th minute, Martin Hedlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olle Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Gustafsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, VfL Wolfsburg's Patrick Albom dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 57 minutes into the match, Aleksander Gustafsson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of VfL Wolfsburg's Olle Tunander. VfL Wolfsburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tzvetan Mudrov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. After a defensive mix-up in VfL Wolfsburg's zone, Tzvetan Mudrov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olle Tunander came out of the goal and Tzvetan Mudrov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inko Colillas might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olle Tunander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inko Colillas ran back to his position shaking his head. Olle Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inko Colillas in the 86th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hockeysnubbarnas BK fans cheered their team off the field, for while VfL Wolfsburg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
