An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvito Helguera in the 24th minute of play forced VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Olle Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvito Helguera in the 38th minute of play forced VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Olle Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Nueva Adalucia got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Puyol. Marouane Kiefer hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ospin Urruti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueva Adalucia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ospin Urruti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olle Tunander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvito Helguera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The long shot by Patrick Albom in the 54th minute really tested Larpe Cabrera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Alvito Helguera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olle Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvito Helguera, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The supporters of Nueva Adalucia booed when VfL Wolfsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Carlos Valderrama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 minutes, Kenny Liljeström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VfL Wolfsburg and the Nueva Adalucia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kenny Liljeström kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match.
