With a left leg Emilio Sugar saved Matador from getting behind. If Grabiel Escorcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Sugar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grabiel Escorcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilio Sugar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Juaneizu Merida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Txaran in the 26th minute of play.
