The audience thought a goal was coming when Grabiel Escorcia got free with Andoni Zubizarreta in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

A collision led to 14 YâReN FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Orhan Veli Tunçkurt hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 59th minute of play forced 14 YâReN FC's goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grabiel Escorcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 91st minute of play forced 14 YâReN FC's goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juaneizu Merida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Julin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
