Fetiyerd's Aurelio Rivas got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 minutes Fetiyerd's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Stroescu who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Fetiyerd booed when Holy Cross Mountains was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Terron didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo got control of the ball when Horea Decuseară tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Fetiyerd were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horea Decuseară was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Fetiyerd's Aurelio Rivas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guy Davis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Emanuel Stroescu fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holy Cross Mountains's protests and gave Emanuel Stroescu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Holy Cross Mountains getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Emanuel Stroescu hit a great ball. Fetiyerd's Emeterio Gene was substituted for Julián Paris. In the 61st minute, Emanuel Stroescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guy Davis made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Aurelio Rivas sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute of the match, Aurelio Rivas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Guy Davis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kenneth Heise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Holy Cross Mountains's Guy Davis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Holy Cross Mountains from getting a goal against them. Fetiyerd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arjen Robben in the 69th minute. After taking down the ball on Fetiyerd's corner Arjen Robben fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Guy Davis quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Holy Cross Mountains's Guy Davis got control of the ball when Severiano Rua tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Aurelio Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fetiyerd's Cristiano Mezquita was substituted for Kenneth Heise. Holy Cross Mountains's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Severiano Rua scored to the left of an out of position Guy Davis, making the score, 0-3. In the 79th match minute, Holy Cross Mountains was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Decuseară to maneuver through the defense. Guy Davis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cristiano Mezquita. A collision led to Fetiyerd getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Raymond Litago hit a great ball. In the 86th minute of the match Fetiyerd got a corner. Holy Cross Mountains's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arjen Robben ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arjen Robben made a great header on Fetiyerd's corner, it was just that Holy Cross Mountains's Guy Davis managed to reach the ball for a save. Guy Davis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Rua in the 90th minute of play. The Fetiyerd fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Fetiyerd's Severiano Rua looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 94th minute Severiano Rua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Davis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fetiyerd played a much better game than Holy Cross Mountains and deserved their victory. The Holy Cross Mountains players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
