After having played for 12 minutes, Reynaldo Mede managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holy Cross Mountains's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Mede was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Holy Cross Mountains getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Albert Booth hit a great ball. Agostinho Moraes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guy Davis. Holy Cross Mountains's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elivélton do Nascimento hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Holy Cross Mountains's Guy Davis got control of the ball when Jovica Zeković tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guy Davis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semi Yaltır in the 19th minute of the match. Holy Cross Mountains's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Agostinho Moraes scored to the left of an out of position Guy Davis, making the score, 2-0. Guy Davis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Leonard Olejasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Decuseară, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee gave Holy Cross Mountains a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emanuel Stroescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Gustavo FPRMZ's Leonard Olejasz. 2-1. Holy Cross Mountains's Guy Davis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Holy Cross Mountains from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Holy Cross Mountains booed when FC Gustavo FPRMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jovica Zeković to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Jovica Zeković's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guy Davis was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. 69 minutes into the game, Aníbal Vidal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. FC Gustavo FPRMZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
