When Hugo Haupt fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rot-Weiss-Essen's protests and gave Hugo Haupt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Hugo Haupt hit a great ball. Mar Cheze in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of August Hoffmanns, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mar Cheze received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. August Hoffmanns came out and tried to block the shot, but Mar Cheze slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. Max Limont made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 18th minute of play. After 20 minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mar Cheze who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns got control of the ball when Mar Cheze tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Paulius Rožėnas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Max Limont showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavian Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mar Cheze in the 51st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hexo Utd's Adolfo Brandão got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A hard shot by Maximilian Henning from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Max Limont's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Max Limont made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Octavian Basten sent off a good shot on target. Max Limont was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Octavian Basten capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Octavian Basten really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Hexo Utd's Miglius Simonaitis was substituted for Adolfo Brandão. The audience was convinced that Octavian Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Limont was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Vilmantas Kalinauskas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this August Hoffmanns quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Vilmantas Kalinauskas sped through Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. If Mar Cheze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulius Rožėnas in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Rot-Weiss-Essen booed when Hexo Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilmantas Kalinauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Max Limont made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 91st minute of play. Paulius Rožėnas struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. August Hoffmanns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hexo Utd. Paulius Rožėnas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
