Bento Chandeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Chandeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Chandeiro in the 9th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Chandeiro came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, Aioros FC's Bento Chandeiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. August Hoffmanns was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Bento Chandeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aioros FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Domingo Perón in the 25th minute. The corner led Aioros FC's Domingo Perón to fire away a dangerous shot which August Hoffmanns despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marco-Antonio van Basten made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Aioros FC's Escobar Kerim. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Bento Chandeiro sped through Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Chandeiro in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mesut Özil in the 38th minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Beat Vid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Chandeiro in the 40th minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mesut Özil kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Chandeiro in the 42nd minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Aioros FC's Bento Chandeiro in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie prevented a goal. Beat Vid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Basten in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octavian Basten to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Octavian Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beat Vid was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The supporters of Aioros FC booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco-Antonio van Basten didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Basten in the 61st minute of play forced Aioros FC's goalkeeper Beat Vid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Bento Chandeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aioros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 65 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Chandeiro came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rot-Weiss-Essen booed when Aioros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Maximilian Henning shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beat Vid showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aioros FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bento Chandeiro in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Hoffmanns saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind. Bento Chandeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. August Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bento Chandeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Bento Chandeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aioros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Chandeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92ndth minute of the game Bento Chandeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Octavian Basten took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beat Vid. Beat Vid dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. The Rot-Weiss-Essen supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aioros FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Aioros FC.
