György Solti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavian Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Maximilian Henning was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but György Solti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Százhalombattai VUK SE's József Tóth got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. József Tóth who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of August Hoffmanns when he managed to save the team from getting behind. György Solti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helmut Malinowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rot-Weiss-Essen booed when Százhalombattai VUK SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andro Mahlaoks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helmut Malinowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octavian Basten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Egon Sinka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Anestis Kotsopoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 62 minutes into the game, József Tóth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. August Hoffmanns was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. György Solti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of György Solti. That made the score 2-4 after 77 minutes of play. If Octavian Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Százhalombattai VUK SE got a freekick which was hit by László Sári. In the 87th minute of the match Maximilian Henning sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but György Solti skillfully saved the ball. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rot-Weiss-Essen! After 94 played minutes Százhalombattai VUK SE got a freekick which was hit by János Balogh. László Sári kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match, Maximilian Henning got a very nice opportunity to score, but György Solti was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. József Tóth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Hoffmanns having to interfere.
