With a little luck, GoooooL's Iker Madrid got control of the ball when Boleslaw Dres tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stal Sanok's Nicu Nicuşor got a free kick in the 8th minute. Călin Senin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stal Sanok's Sune Rudberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Tâbârnă in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Stal Sanok getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Boleslaw Dres hit a great ball. Sune Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Grigore in the 17th minute of play. Stal Sanok's Sune Rudberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Senin in the 21st minute of play. Sune Rudberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihai Tâbârnă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Madrid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ari Hakanpää, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Stal Sanok's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Senin came free, but Sune Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Grigore in the 34th minute of play forced Stal Sanok's goalkeeper Sune Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ari Hakanpää kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iker Madrid. That made the score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. Sune Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Dulgherescu in the 40th minute of the match. GoooooL's Iker Madrid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Antoniu in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th minute Călin Senin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihai Tâbârnă to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Stal Sanok's goalkeeper Sune Rudberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihai Tâbârnă. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Radomil Labus put in a rough tackle. Iker Madrid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ari Hakanpää, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carter Barillari in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sune Rudberg saved Stal Sanok from getting behind. 67 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Ari Hakanpää came free, but Iker Madrid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sune Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Grigore in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Boleslaw Dres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Madrid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When GoooooL's Călin Senin in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stal Sanok's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 74 minutes, Ion Dulgherescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GoooooL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ion Dulgherescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th match minute, GoooooL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Popean to maneuver through the defense. Iker Madrid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boleslaw Dres in the 82nd minute of play. Iker Madrid came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Stal Sanok's Ari Hakanpää. But to his dismay, Ari Hakanpää quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berkin Güdü during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th match minute, GoooooL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berkin Güdü to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd match minute, Stal Sanok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Nicuşor to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Mutu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cihat Cevval in the 98th minute of play forced GoooooL's goalkeeper Iker Madrid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GoooooL's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
