Sune Rudberg was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Nilmar Marinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nilmar Marinho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 7th minute Ari Hakanpää shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Cui Liang Xiong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilmar Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sune Rudberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilmar Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Sune Rudberg made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Nilmar Marinho sent off a good shot on target. Dani Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaroslaw Filanowski in the 23rd minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Uriel Ariando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stal Sanok and the Chivos de Punto Fijo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Stal Sanok got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Ariando. Nilmar Marinho came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sune Rudberg could save by the left post. After 30 played minutes Chivos de Punto Fijo got a freekick which was hit by Pere Bombardier. Nicu Nicuşor made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Dragoş Antoniu however managed to control. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Nilmar Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chivos de Punto Fijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilmar Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sune Rudberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Narciso Gombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilmar Marinho made a kick off. Dani Hernández took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cui Liang Xiong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nilmar Marinho scored 2-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sune Rudberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Filip Bochinski was substituted for Pier Kopacz. Dani Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragoş Antoniu in the 71st minute of the match. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Dani Hernández proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Chivos de Punto Fijo from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cihat Cevval got free with Dani Hernández in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dani Hernández made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Boleslaw Dres sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Stal Sanok's Nicu Nicuşor got a free kick in the 78th minute. Sune Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Bochinski in the 80th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Ari Hakanpää lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Dani Hernández. Sune Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezary Makomaski, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Dani Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ari Hakanpää in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stal Sanok players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chivos de Punto Fijo.
