After a defensive mix-up in Rafaela FC's zone, Gervasio Bieito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Veronica came out of the goal and Gervasio Bieito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the game, Rafaela FC's Camillo Daniele nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Musso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Vinicio Gartzea kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Rafaela FC's Nico Veit got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Musso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Gonzo in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Oriche in the 20th minute of play forced Rosario Central FC's goalkeeper Juan Musso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Mogel Izcaray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Musso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Severo Oriche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Musso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basilio Guillerme during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Guillerme. Inocencio Veronica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mogel Izcaray, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Rafaela FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gervasio Bieito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
