The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramón Furtado in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christophe Rau saved Talenti Roma Calcio from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Ramón Furtado put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Christophe Rau. After 12 minutes, Aurelio Piretti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talenti Roma Calcio and the Flamengo FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Aurelio Piretti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Furtado might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christophe Rau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramón Furtado ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Furtado in the 13th minute of play forced Talenti Roma Calcio's goalkeeper Christophe Rau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Ramón Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christophe Rau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jeremias Mark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Dmytro Novak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Mark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dmytro Novak having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Flamengo FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Mark came free, but Dmytro Novak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Jeremias Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmytro Novak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Jeremias Mark fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dmytro Novak, passed just outside the right post. Stefan Banaszak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christophe Rau having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Flamengo FSCMZ's Ramón Furtado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christophe Rau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Flamengo FSCMZ's Dmytro Novak got control of the ball when Jeremias Mark tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Mark made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Şensoy Peyam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flamengo FSCMZ and the Talenti Roma Calcio players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şensoy Peyam to maneuver through the defense. Dmytro Novak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedykt Karwowski in the 55th minute of play. Ramón Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christophe Rau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Meira to maneuver through the defense. Christophe Rau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Aldo Ianni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Åke Sundström in the 94th minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Dmytro Novak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
