Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teodosio Sergi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Panait in the 3rd minute of the match. Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Panait in the 7th minute of play. Teodosio Sergi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shi Ming Sheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Sergi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Panait in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Aurel Panait made a precise shot to the right of Teodosio Sergi. Velez Sarsfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Eulalio Urbasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Cordario. Teodosio Sergi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Panait, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Urbasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olliver Van Meirhaeghe in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Shi Ming Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Sergi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoldo Mel made in the 46th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ronan Mistral. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 47th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Teodosio Sergi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Stiinta-Univ. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shi Ming Sheng to make the kick off. Velez Sarsfield's Mart Laar was substituted for Marcos Pacifico. Stiinta-Univ. were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Velez Sarsfield's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Viteazul Flore took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Viteazul Flore got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teodosio Sergi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Sarsfield's zone, Aurel Panait stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Sergi came out of the goal and Aurel Panait tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Arnoldo Mel in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Stiinta-Univ.'s Tomasz Gacek. Stiinta-Univ.'s Eulalio Urbasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Cordario in the 86th minute of play. Eulalio Urbasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Aurel Panait kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Stiinta-Univ.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
