Washington Sarmento charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Washington Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 2 played minutes Brasiliense FC got a freekick which was hit by Washington Sarmento. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cordario in the 4th minute of play forced Brasiliense FC's goalkeeper Cris Bala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velez Sarsfield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ignacio Berenguer in the 6th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Brasiliense FC's goalie and right to Javier Pinola. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Brasiliense FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 9 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cris Bala was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cris Bala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olliver Van Meirhaeghe in the 11th minute of play. Cris Bala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olliver Van Meirhaeghe in the 13th minute of the match. Brasiliense FC's Cris Bala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Cordario in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Bala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cris Bala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Brasiliense FC's zone, Augusto Cordario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cris Bala came out of the goal and Augusto Cordario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cris Bala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. Cris Bala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 30th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Brasiliense FC got a freekick which was hit by Deng Zhen Fan. Cris Bala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brasiliense FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ignacio Berenguer was slow to take the kick. During this time Velez Sarsfield's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Ignacio Berenguer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cris Bala quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deng Zhen Fan in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Augusto Cordario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brasiliense FC's Cris Bala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kılıç Kerim's late challenge caught a Velez Sarsfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kılıç Kerim helped the player get up and apologised. Kılıç Kerim kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Brasiliense FC's Cris Bala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Cordario in the 62nd minute of play. The corner ended in Ignacio Berenguer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Brasiliense FC's Cris Bala did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet as Augusto Cordario kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cris Bala. That made the score 0-2 in the 65 minute of play. Brasiliense FC's Cris Bala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Brasiliense FC from getting a goal against them. Brasiliense FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Augusto Cordario scored to the left of an out of position Cris Bala, making the score, 0-3. Augusto Cordario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell was substituted for Javier Pinola. Brasiliense FC's Cris Bala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Brasiliense FC from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Bala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Washington Sarmento was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. Washington Sarmento hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brasiliense FC's goalie prevented a goal.
