In the 4th minute, Celedonio Dominguez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hammarby IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Remus in the 7th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Holger Vester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Remus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute BESTIA GDAŃSK were awarded a corner. Jozef Goegebeur went to the cornerflag to take it. BESTIA GDAŃSK's Jozef Goegebeur was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Holger Vester in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jozef Goegebeur's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Holger Vester - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gösta Söderberg got free with Leszek Huchro in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Remus might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Holger Vester. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albert Remus ran back to his position shaking his head. Holger Vester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Remus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Controller Serapio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for BESTIA GDAŃSK. Bartosz Gad stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Holger Vester. 1-2. Albert Remus struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Holger Vester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BESTIA GDAŃSK. In the 45th minute, Patricio Otoniel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Celedonio Dominguez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leszek Huchro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celedonio Dominguez to make the kick off. Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Remus in the 53rd minute of play. With his leg Holger Vester managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when BESTIA GDAŃSK's Albert Remus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 58th minute Hammarby IF were awarded a corner. Francesco Totti went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Bosse Larsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BESTIA GDAŃSK's Leszek Huchro did a great save. If Albert Remus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leszek Huchro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 66th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarby IF's zone, Albert Remus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Holger Vester came out of the goal and Albert Remus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hammarby IF made a substitution. Jonas Hök replaced Francesco Totti. 79 minutes in the game Frans Beckenbauer did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jonas Hök. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarby IF's zone, Bartosz Gad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Holger Vester came out of the goal and Bartosz Gad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Ola Bremming hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leszek Huchro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Söderberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Albert Remus managed to get in a good position for a shot. BESTIA GDAŃSK's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Remus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Holger Vester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BESTIA GDAŃSK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
